Canon Power Shot A110 IS. Got it through TigerDirect. I use it regularly with consistently reliable results. Easy on battery consumption with clean and sharp images.
It appears my model is no longer available through TigerDirect and has been replaced with a current version. I recommend reading the product info on the new release of the Power Shot series.

Sorry but that was a load of crap Chris. The iPhone and camera phones are not suited for 720p video yet. They may be able to make video in that resolution size someday but the lens on an iPhone is crap compared to what is found on a Nikon or Canon. I know that getting a dedicated camera is cumbersome cuz its an extra device but guess what that’s what you need. Just because you can type a document out on a phone doesn’t mean its going to replace your laptop, the same applies for cameras.
point & shoot : panasonic dmx tz10 ( great overall compact camera,full hd, optical zoom equivalent to 300mm on dslr, stereo sound recorder, has manual control too )
dlsr : canon 7d ( suitable for sport,wildlife, and movie making, 24p and 60 p, full HD, high burst rate )
: canon 5dmark II : nice big camera, 21megapixels, great for portraiture, but not suitable for sport, a bit expensive and still can shoot movie with 24p full HD( after firmware update )
