is this camera better than the Nikon P90? reason I ask is I have a Kodak Z1085 IS and was looking to buy a new camera with better zoom so I might be able to take some really cool pics from afar. do you think the P90 is the better way for a person to go who doesnt want to get all fancy with a multi-lense camera?

more of a sales pitch than a review. this guy reeks of used car salesman. I’ve heard form two different sources now that the camera only takes disposable batteries. fail!

Yeah, that would be Nikon and CNET smart guy… Although, in all fairness Nikon has release firmware that needs to be downloaded in order to use NiMH batteries with the camera. But if it wasn’t going to be such a problem why not just release the camera with the firmware ‘update’ to begin with? In this day and time who doesn’t design electronic products to use rechargables?

The reachable batteries option is in the menu so far my pictures are beautiful of course i have a black edition black phenom and 24 inch acer high definition monitor and a GTX 260 graphic card the pictures quality and zoom are amazing thats right on my custom built game machine not a cheap laptop so the negative comments are full of shit . and no aim not a professional photographer this camera rocks.

The P90 has by far better quality than the L100, but is a bit more complicated. The L100 is a very good quality camera though. If you’re looking for good pics from zooming in though, I’d go with the P90.
