I’ve run into this before. I actually went through with the order but not before they claimed the battery will only last 10 min (not true) and I even had one site claim the menu would not be in English. They did everything they could to get me to buy all kinds of accessories but I held my ground and got a great deal.

Competition pricing in America? No way . All Companies practice price fixing. Try to sale a major product for less than another major store and they’ll sue you. No such thing as supply and demand. they price it what they can

Its completely true. I was subjected to bait and switch tactics. You must be aware of a companys reputation especially if they are offering a price that you know cant be right. I reported the company to the BBB.

bottom line: You can get taken if you are an idiot. If you are not you can get good deals even if you have to call. I got a refurbished Macbook pro core duo for $1000 just months after it was released for half price and I had to call, but no bait and switch and i’m still using the laptop today without a problem.

No, We Don’t Have Any Grey Poupon……

Boy, look at you. You think you’re really something, don’t you, fancy-pants? You think you’re up there on some cloud looking down on the rest of us, sitting on a throne of cashmere and caviar, cutting farts that smell like fresh-baked cookies. Oh, you’re too good for any old digital camera. No, you’d never sully your pristine hands with some run-of-the-mill pixel-pusher. Your camera has to be special. Just like you, specialkins.

MDG Computers Canada is a good example of this. I’ve read countless complaints about how they swap new computer parts with ones that are of less quality and at least 2 years outdated. Upselling is also one of their strengths. I have never bought or even considered buying from MDG and never will.

I was a victim of this kind of scam years ago and learned my lesson. If the price seems too much cheaper than you find it everywhere else, it’s usually as SCAM!!!! My advice is for people to go to reputable companies like amazon, overstock, bhphoto, or newegg. If you go to a place that you’re not sure about, search for customer reviews of their site on google. I’ve found many angry customer reviews after doing this and they all describe the same scam. BAIT AND SWITCH. Be careful people.
